Frequently asked questions
These questions sum up how we work across our three services: technology consulting, software development, and maintenance and evolution.
Three: technology consulting, to make well-founded decisions before you invest; software development, to build platforms, e-commerce, integrations and software with applied AI; and maintenance and evolution, so your software keeps running well and improving over time. Each service page gives you the details and the related specialist areas.
If you have a decision to make, such as which architecture to choose, whether or not to migrate, or where AI fits in, start with consulting. If you already know what you want to build, it's a development project. If your platform is already up and running and you need someone to look after it and keep it evolving, it's maintenance. If you're not sure, tell us about your situation and we'll tell you where we would start.
Yes. Consulting is valuable in its own right: you come away with a diagnosis, the options we've considered, a clear recommendation and a phased roadmap. You can carry it out with your own team, with your current supplier or with us. We can also run a technical and digital compliance audit focused on performance, technical SEO, accessibility or data governance.
Yes. Many of our projects start from existing platforms. First we assess the state of the code, and then we propose how to move forward with as little risk as possible. When it comes to maintaining an application we didn't build, we always start with an initial review of the code, the environment and the documentation.
Corrective maintenance, security and version updates (core, modules, libraries and dependencies), functional evolution and reducing technical debt. We look after the software, not the servers: when an update requires changes on the server, we coordinate them with your hosting provider or your systems team, who are the ones who apply them.
The hour package is used up as you make requests, and suits variable or one-off needs. The fee covers an agreed scope with a steady level of dedication, and suits critical platforms that need continuity and predictability. We settle on the arrangement in our proposal, based on your platform.
Yes, as part of our engineering methodology and with clear rules. All code is reviewed by a person. We don't send your customers' data or any confidential information to AI tools without your express permission. If your organisation requires it, we stick to the tools or models you approve. AI-assisted code goes through the same tests and the same review as everything else.
That's a different matter: software that uses AI as one more part of the system, for example for semantic search, content classification, assistants connected to your documentation or process automation. We handle it as part of development, as software with applied AI. If you're not yet sure it's worth it, a consultancy will help you decide. Sometimes the conclusion is "not yet", and we'll tell you that too.
Yes. We're a distributed company and have worked remotely since we started. We can take on a whole project or work alongside your in-house team or your current supplier, adapting to the way you work. Either way, we make sure the knowledge stays within your organisation.
Get in touch and tell us what you're working on: your context, your systems and what concerns you. We'll look at it with you and suggest where to start, whether that's a consultancy, a development project or an initial review if it's about maintaining an existing application.
